How to request deletion
Send a WhatsApp message or an email from the phone number or address on the account to +91 96071 59239 or support@gatesetu.com, saying "delete my GateSetu account". We confirm the request with a one-time code to the same number, then delete within seven working days and confirm in writing.
You can also ask from inside the app: More → Settings → "Delete my account" sends the same request with your number pre-filled. There is no separate password to remove — the account is your mobile number.
What is deleted
Your account: mobile number, name, language, notification preferences, every device registered to you (push tokens), and your login sessions. If you were the only owner of a plant, the plant keeps working for any other owner; if there are none, the plant subscription ends and its data follows the plant retention below.
Personal data in the plant record that identifies you as a person — your number as an alert recipient, your name in the audit log — is removed or anonymised.
What is kept, and for how long
The plant's gate record — vehicle movements, number plates, photos, alerts, the tamper-evident chain — belongs to the plant, not to any one person, and is kept while the plant is a customer. It is not deleted because one owner leaves. When a plant ends its service, records are exported to the owner on request and deleted after 90 days; full-resolution images are kept at most 12 months in any case.
Audit entries that record that a request was made and fulfilled are kept for 12 months, without your name or number. Nothing else is kept.
Deleting data without deleting the account
You can ask for specific data to be removed while keeping your account — for example a device you no longer use, or your name — by the same WhatsApp or email route, or in the app under More → Settings. Owners can also remove other owners and gate staff of their plant themselves in the app.
